Overview:

A rare opportunity is available for a part-time (half-day per week) Administrative Assistant working within the Canberra-based Political Resource Centre of one of Australias most effective, respected and influential trade unions, the Maritime Union of Australia.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Policy Executive Officer, the role is interesting and varied with responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Maintaining the research and publications library and filing system
  • Maintaining equipment and supplies
  • Providing general administrative support

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:

To be considered for this role, you will require a minimum of 3 years experience in an office environment. Your attention to detail will ensure publications, information and documentation are stored and maintained within an easily accessible system.

Your proactive and organised approach, which demonstrates a sound work ethic and ability to quickly respond in a busy office environment, will ensure that the Political Resource Centre delivers quality and timely outputs and that the office is administered efficiently.
