Duties include:
Provision of advice, advocacy and negotiation relating to entitlements and working conditions, underpayments, workers compensation, occupational health and safety, discipline, redundancy, termination, conflict resolution, dismissal and separation.
Negotiation of enterprise agreements under the Fair Work Act.
Develop and implement effective internal and external membership growth plans.
Effective communication to ensure member and/or workplace issues are appropriately managed.
Representations on behalf of pilot members as required in order to resolve individual grievances.
Assistance with the organisation and delivery of meetings.
Research on industrial and aviation related matters.
Identification of opportunities to recruit and organise.
Preparation of written material/newsletters as required.
Assistance in the maintenance of the Federations reporting responsibilities to Fair Work Australia.
Assistance to elected officials, administrative staff and other members of the Industrial Relations team.
