| Job Description: |
The TWU is looking for an experienced organiser to develop and implement the unions waterfront to store supply chain organising program.
The lead organiser will:
- map out supply chains
- identify key clients and hubs
- recruit and lead staff, volunteer organisers and member organisers
- develop and implement organising campaigns at major ports and strategic transport companies
- recruit and build a network of supply chain activists
- work closely with other transport unions within the Transport Unions Federation and other coalitions to develop and implement campaigns
Evening and weekend work will be involved and this position may require some travel throughout the country.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
- Experience and success running organising campaigns
- Have demonstrated success at providing direction and leadership to other organisers or member/volunteer organisers
- 5-7 years of direct organizing experience preferred
- A knowledge of union organising practices and principles and thorough knowledge of labor laws, in both private and public sectors
- The ability to write organising plans
- A strong working knowledge of data base programs and the ability to develop an organising data base
- Experience working with coalitions
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and project management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Computer literate and ability to write leaflets and newsletters
- Maintains trust and confidence of multiple levels of union leadership
- Self-starter with an ability to work with limited supervision
- Drivers license required
