Overview:

The CFMEU FFPD is a national resource based manufacturing union with coverage in metropolitan and regional areas throughout Australia. The national office is based in West Melbourne, Victoria

Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to perform tasks, under routine supervision, which provide general clerical and administrative support to the unions organising and industrial work including:

Clerical and administrative support for agreement negotiations, disputes, UFD and underpayment and other claims and tribunal proceedings.

  • Collect, collate and manage information including: workplace/disputes file management; preparation and distribution of wage sheets and other information to support organising campaigns.
  • Materials production for general organising and industrial activity and training.
  • File management of agreements & industrial files; hard copy and web based.

  • Experience & Qualifications
    Essential:

    Strong written and verbal communication skills and high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with people that may be under stressful situations.

    Demonstrated advanced MS Office skills including MS Word and MS Excel.

    Highly developed organisational skills with a strong system and process focus and attention to detail.

    Ability to develop and maintain office filing and database systems to support the industrial organising team.

    Accurate, fast data entry skills.

    Capacity to work, under supervision, in a collaborative environment and to manage time with flexibility and adaptability while working in a sometimes high pressure environment.
