The Western Australian Prison Officers Union is the industrial organisation which represents the industrial interests of all Prison Officers employed by the Western Australian Department of Corrective Services.

WAPOU has vacancies for a Senior Industrial Officer/ Organiser and an Industrial Officer/Organiser.

WAPOU is small dynamic Trade Union who's membership now numbers nearly 2000.

We are looking for candidate with the following attributes:

*Sound working knowledge of the state and federal industrial relations system.

*Excellent communication skills.

*Dynamic personality.

*Proven ability with legislation and Award interpretation.

*Experience in negotiating.

*Dispute resolution experience.

*Proven ability in organising.

*Computer literacy.

*Current WA drivers licence.

Snr - Circa $88K plus car, phone & super Circa $75K

Senior Industrial Officer/Organiser is required to act as Secretary during periods the Secretary is on leave.
