Overview:

The Health & Community Services Union (HACSU) is an industry based Union representing nursing, health professionals, direct care and support staff employed in public and non government Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol Services and Disability Services.

Ideally located in Carlton and just a short walk from Lygon Street we are seeking an experienced Administration Officer to manage our Membership Accounts System.

Your primary responsibility will be to administer and manage the Unions membership database including the management and processing of all direct debits, invoicing for the payment of membership fees and maintain accurate membership records.

Job Description:

* Maintain the HACSU Membership data base (KUDOS) including processing new memberships and maintain existing member information.

* Process all financial transactions for the accurate payment of membership fees includes direct debiting, BPAY, invoicing and banking of payments received.

* Provide high quality and responsive customer service to members via direct conversations and by correspondence. This includes proactive follow up of members and solution focused problem solving.

* Provide regular and detailed reports identifying membership group and industry growth trends and members financial status to State Secretary and Assistant State Secretary.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:

Experience with an electronic membership and information management systems accuracy and attention to detail is paramount.

* Well developed communication skills, written and verbal.

* High level of customer service in providing information and assistance to members regarding their membership by telephone and in writing.

* Strong organisational and time management skills, able to work independently, prioritise work and to be able to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are achieved and projects are completed.

* Advanced knowledge and experience user of Microsoft Access and in particular have experience in data manipulation and the production of reports.

* Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

* Ability to work as part of a team and assist others to meet their objectives.

Information:

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate their ability to accurately update and maintain the membership database, its financial management systems and provide high level reports through using Microsoft Access database.
