Overview:

The ACTU Organising Centre provides education, organising and campaigning support to Australian unions affiliated to the ACTU. The Centre works with Unions to build comprehensive internal programs in order to strengthen capacity and grow. This work includes the development and implementation of campaigns and consultancy with unions to build structures and systems that enable the union to grow through organising and campaigning. The education provision of the Centre is aimed at developing the skills and knowledge of organisers, union leaders, delegates and activists.

Job Description:

The ACTU Organising Centre now has a vacancy for an Administration Manager based in Melbourne. The position is responsible for coordinating the administrative operation of the Centre; supervising the Centres administrative staff; and managing administrative systems to support the work of the Director and Assistant Directors.

The position includes responsibility for course scheduling/timetabling, administering the Centres Organising Works traineeship program, and providing executive, event and administrative support to the Centres Management team.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:

If you have highly developed organisational, administrative and communication skills; proven ability in administration, office management or program support; and experience in procedural development and review, we would be interested in hearing from you.

Desired:

Applicants with experience in the TAFE/VET sector, or in private RTOs, will be considered favourably.

Salary:

$73,084 p.a. (plus 15% superannuation)
