| Job Description: |
The Union is seeking an experienced industrial relation professional. The main duties of this role are to:
- provide industrial advice to members and staff;
- provide representation to members, resolve members workplace issues through negotiation;
- mediation/conciliation and arbitration, advocate for members before various tribunals including Fair Work Australia;
- assist members with enterprise bargaining;
- undertake industrial research.
This position will also play an integral part in the Unions general organising and campaigning activities.
The successful applicants will have a strong commitment to the union movement and a capacity to handle a varied and demanding workload

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
To be successful in this role you will have:
- a sound working knowledge of the industrial relations system, with an ability to prepare and present cases before Fair Work Australia and other tribunals;
- excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- proven ability with legislative and Award interpretation and experience;
- negotiating enterprise agreements and negotiations in a wider dispute resolution context.

| Desired: |
1. relevant IR qualifications and training or practical experience in the field of Industrial relations;
2. experience preparing for and managing Fair Work Australia and WA Commission proceedings including conciliation and arbitration hearings;
3. proven experience in an Industrial Relations advisory role or the qualifications and passion to move into this field;
4. the ability to interpret and analyse legislation, awards or agreements;
5. passion for the union movement;
6. people and time management;
7. the ability to manage multiple tasks;
8. excellent written and verbal communication skills.

| Salary: |
Employment Conditions
The salary package includes:
- 6 weeks annual leave;
- 25% annual leave loading;
- 12% superannuation contribution.
