| Overview: |
The Finance Sector Union, is the Union for Australia's bank, insurance, credit union, superannuation and finance industries and we are seeking to appoint a full-time permanent Advocate to our Queensland Branch.
|
|
| Job Description: |
The Advocate will be responsible to the Local Executive Secretary for providing members with high quality advice and support in disputes, including representing members to management and, in some cases, to Fair Work Australia, as well as negotiating solutions to problems. You will also be required to meet with management of various enterprises on a range of industrial matters and relay information and provide advice to FSU staff.
From time to time, you may also be required to participate in industrial campaigns.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
A commitment to and enthusiasm for trade unionism is essential, together with excellent communication skills to effectively represent the Union to members and potential members. Applicants should have a sound knowledge of contemporary industrial relations legislation and practices.
|
|
| Salary: |
A salary from $52,242 is offered with increase up to $61,052 with experience and qualifications. The FSU also offers other excellent working conditions including employer superannuation contributions of 15% and a 9 day /70 hour fortnight.
