Overview:

The Deakin University Student Association (DUSA) is a student owned and controlled student membership organisation representing over 33,000 students studying at Deakin.

The Culture and Community team is responsible for delivering events, activities and sporting programs for students both on and off campus.

Job Description:

The Culture and Community Manager is responsible for the delivery of events, activities and sporting programs as endorsed by the strategic plan of the DUSA Committee of Management.

The role reports to the DUSA CEO and will manage a team of 7 permanent staff based across Victoria. The role also requires liaison with key student representatives and volunteers, to ensure all services are provided efficiently, within budget and with consideration of all risk issues.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:

The role will require a candidate that enjoys a challenge, is capable of working in a dynamic and robust environment and who can communicate well with all stakeholders to ensure positive and constructive outcomes. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years management experience and will understand the principles of community development.

Salary:

$93,000 + 11% super + use of vehicle

Information:

The role will involve travel across Victoria to all DUSA offices along with some interstate travel.
