United Voice

The role of the National Database Coordinator is to coordinate activity on the union's databases including the National Membership System, Voter Activation Network (organising database) and research database. The Co-ordinator leads a small National Office team focussed on delivering the effective utilisation of the National Membership System, including by providing quality user support and branch liaison, coordinating data analysis and reporting, and maintaining and developing the system in response to user requirements.

The skills required for this position are:

• Ability to manage a small team of membership staff.

• Ability to set priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

• Excellent knowledge of SQL databases systems.

• Strong Access skills and general database knowledge and capabilities.

• Well developed planning and budgeting skills.

• Good verbal and written communication and liaison skills, including the ability to formulate effective database policies and procedures.

• A commitment to United Voice's values.

Knowledge of Unison/Composer and Sybase would be an advantage.
