| Job Description: |
An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, experienced Lead Organiser in Perth, Western Australia.
Lead Organisers lead and develop a team of organisers to recruit and mobilise workers to exercise power as a collective to improve their jobs and their industries, in accordance with a strategic industry plan.
A Lead Organiser is responsible for:
- leading, managing and mentoring a team of organisers;
- developing organising skills, creating clearly defined team roles, structures, and processes to hold the team accountable to the plan and briefing and debriefing the team on plan implementation;
- translating strategic industry plans into operational plans, in consultation with key delegates and members, with recruitment and leadership development goals;
- developing delegates so they are able to identify, recruit and engage member leaders and activists who therefore have ownership of the plan;
- coordinating the various functions (eg communications, research, legal) of an industry plan or campaign;
- working closely and collaboratively with the internal organising team.

| Essential: |
To be successful in this role you will:

- reflect & critique on individual and team work and be responsive to feedback and instruction;
- have good communication skills;
- be respectful of workers and union staff in all their diversity;
- have a valid Drivers Licence;
- be able to work flexible arrangements.

76,070 per annum
