Overview:

The CFMEU Construction & General Division is currently seeking an experienced Receptionist and Switchboard Operator. The role is full time and involves working in a busy blue collar trade union office.

---
Job Description:

Reporting to the Office Manager, duties include:

* Front desk reception.

* Answering a large volume of inbound calls in a timely manner and referring them to the most relevant staff member.

* Maintenance of phone equipment, messaging services, telephone and automatic dial directories.

* Typing of correspondence and notices.

* General administrative duties.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:

* Professional presentation with excellent communication skills.

* Mature and courteous manner.

* Good computing/typing skills.

* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.

* Possess the ability and willingness to work hard and to function under pressure.

* Be proactive, self-motivated and capable of working with minimum supervision.

* Have the ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the union environment.

* Be flexible in their approach to assigned tasks.

Desired:

* at least 2 to 5 years experience in a similar role.
