| Job Description: |
We currently seek full time and part time Organisers.
Organisers work as part of a team to grow and strengthen membership, develop delegates and build activism and leadership amongst Union members.
The Organising role involves working with members, workplace delegates and workplace leaders to plan and implement campaigns that build the strength of the Union and deliver good industrial outcomes. There is also opportunity to be involved in Enterprise Bargaining campaigning and negotiations.
The main responsibilities of Organisers are:
- mapping;
- delivering a structured organising conversation in order to recruit, move members to action and articulate union vision/values;
- recruiting new members;
- creating and working to organising plans;
- identifying and developing workplace delegates;
- building active and sustainable organising structures;
- working with member leaders to mobilise members to take collective action;
- educating members about the link between politics and organising/bargaining outcomes.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
To be successful you will have:
- an understanding of how the Union works;
- a demonstrated commitment to union values and social justice;
- a commitment to the Labor movement;
- the ability to motivate and educate union members and potential members;
- the ability to participate in the unions political and social justice agenda;
- strong communication skills;
- a valid Drivers Licence;
- the ability to work flexible arrangements.

| Salary: |
An attractive package is offered to the successful applicants, which includes:
