Union:

United Voice (formerly LHMU) National Office

---
Overview:

United Voice is a union of workers building industry and political power to win real change in workplaces, industries and people's lives.

---
Job Description:

A unique opportunity is now available to lead national communications strategy and projects for United Voice, one of Australia's largest and most forward thinking unions.

Our 130,000 plus members work in numerous industries across every State. We run high profile grassroots campaigns - such as organising city cleaners, fighting for higher pay for childcare workers and demanding better conditions for staff in our finest hotels. We're about building the power of our members - and winning.

Our new name United Voice (we were formerly known as LHMU) sets us apart. We need a dynamic individual to drive forward our communications strategy and products, working closely with almost two dozen communications staff in State Branches and the National Office.

You'll project manage improvements to our media outreach, printed magazine, website, social media presence and campaign communications. We're after more purposeful use of each medium, greater emphasis on stories, a stronger political narrative and higher profile engagement of the public around our key issues.

We're not after "the way things have always been done": the right candidate will have a demonstrated track record in innovation in brand and issue campaigns - whether online or off-line (and preferably both). We're looking for someone articulate, personable and well organised.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you'll work directly with the National Secretary and lead a small high calibre team.

---
Salary:
