United Voice Tasmania

The Tasmanian Branch is seeking expressions of interest for a Lead Organiser position. The Lead Organiser will form part of the leadership Group of the Union and work closely with the current Lead Organisers and Branch Secretary.

This job is offered as a fixed term contract to replace a vacancy created by maternity leave. The vacancy exists for one year but shorter contracts will be considered.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Being an integral part of the Branch's Leadership team.

• Co-ordinating organising activity including significant input into Industry and Worksite organising strategies.

• One to one support, mentoring, direction and supervision of the team members.

The Lead Organiser will be directly responsible to the Branch Secretary.

The applicant should have relevant experience and demonstrated or has shown the capacity to demonstrate leadership skills.

An attractive package is offered which recognises the responsibility to be exercised in the position. The position is based in Hobart with regular intrastate and occasional interstate travel required.
