United Voice - Victoria

United Voice Victoria is a diverse and progressive union improving the lives of workers in hospitality, childcare, cleaning, security, healthcare and manufacturing.

We provide a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Officer to join our team.

Industrial Officers work in a team under the supervision of a Senior Industrial Officer to:

• provide industrial advice and representation to members

• resolve members' workplace issues

• negotiate on behalf of members with employers

• advocate for members before boards and industrial tribunals

• assist members with enterprise bargaining

• undertake industrial research

Qualifications and experience

• A basic working knowledge of the Australian industrial relations system.

• Well developed communication and negotiation skills.

• Passion for the union movement.

• Ability to work variable hours.

• Drivers license now or soon.

• Experience in union, community, social justice, student or other activist campaigns preferred.

• Community languages a plus.

Salary between $46,000-$50,000 per annum, depending on experience, + superannuation + motor vehicle allowance of $12,428.00 per annum
