The Finance Sector Union, is the Union for Australia's bank, insurance, credit union, superannuation and finance industries and we are seeking to employ an Advocate to our New South Wales/ACT Branch based in Sydney.

| Job Description: |
Working as part of the Advocacy team, you will be responsible for providing members with high quality advice and support in disputes, including representing members to management and negotiating solutions to problems.
|
| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
A commitment to and enthusiasm for trade unionism is essential, together with excellent communication skills to effectively represent the Union to members and potential members and the ability to work in a flexible way. Applicants should have a sound knowledge of contemporary industrial relations legislation and practices.
|
|
| Desired: |
There are no formal pre-requisite qualifications for this role, however previous experience or a background in law, advocacy or as a union delegate would be an advantage.
|
|
| Salary: |
A salary from $53,809 is offered with increase up to $62,884 with experience and qualifications. The FSU also offers other excellent working conditions including employer superannuation contributions of 15% and a 9 day /70 hour fortnight.
