TCFUA (Victorian Branch)

The TCFUA is seeking a highly skilled, committed and experienced Industrial Officer to be based in the Victorian Branch of the union.

The successful applicant will be required to:

• negotiate, draft and review collective agreements prepare and present industrial claims
• advocate in various jurisdictions including FWA
• provide advice to officers, organisers and members
• deal with member disputes with employers
• undertake industrial and industry research and policy development
• prepare submissions and reports
• develop and implement industrial strategies and campaigns
• interpret Awards, Agreements and legislation

Good working knowledge and experience of industrial relations law and practices.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience and skill in preparing cases, negotiation and advocacy.

High level of research and written and oral communications skills.

Strong commitment to trade union principles.

Experience and understanding of NESB workers and their needs.

Tertiary Qualifications in labour law and other relevant fields.

Able to travel and work irregular hours

A competitive remuneration Package will be negotiated with the successful applicant
