Working in critical areas of the economy our members are highly skilled and work in demanding roles This Member Service Advisor position is in the Associations Workplace Advice and Support Centre which is the first point of contact for members with questions or problems in their workplaces.

| Job Description: |
As the initial point of contact for the Association, you will be providing industrial advice, working with members and others to progress the Associations agenda, and providing follow up support to members on all matters relating to their employment, including the application of Awards, Workplace Agreements and relevant legislation. You will also have the opportunity to deal with a wide range of queries and to provide representation and advocacy for members with their employers and in industrial tribunals and courts.
In this role you will be performing an important role resolving issues, and working to recruit and retain Association members.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
A commitment to trade union values and a keen interest in industrial relations are essential.
A good knowledge of contemporary industrial relations issues and state and federal industrial legislation are required.
The ability to manage a variety of tasks and meet deadlines, problem solving skills and the ability to use initiative are also required.
A demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal with people that may be under stressful situations are essential.

| Salary: |
Commencing salary $50,000-$60,000 depending on experience.
