United Firefighters Union Vic Branch

The United Firefighters' Union of Australia (UFU) is a Federal Union which represents over 11,000 firefighters across Australia, to advance the industrial, political and social standing of its members.

The UFU is seeking applications from experienced IOs and organisers from across the union movement.

We provide a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and are currently seeking passionate Industrial Officers / Organisers to join our team.

Industrial Officers / Organisers at the UFU work autonomously but under the supervision of a Senior Industrial Officer to:

• provide industrial advice and representation to members
• resolve members workplace issues
• negotiate on behalf of members with employers
• advocate for members before boards and industrial tribunals
• assist members with enterprise bargaining
• undertake industrial research

Comprehensive working knowledge of the Vic IR system.
Well developed communication and negotiation skills.
Passion for the union movement.
Competent computer skills.
Current Drivers License.

An attractive salary package will be offered depending on skills and experience of the applicant.
