Overview:

The Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) is offering an amazing opportunity to work for the Australian Union Movement, whilst completing a comprehensive training program.

We are seeking people who are committed to pursuing the rights of all working Australians, whether young or old, male or female, or from a culturally or linguistically diverse background.

Job Description:

The ACTU Organising Works Program encompasses on-the-job training with an Australian Union, and 10 months of formal ACTU training to achieve the Certificate IV in Unionism and Industrial Relations.

The formal program will commence in February / March 2012.

Experience & Qualifications
Desired:

Applicants should demonstrate their commitment to union values and their ability to organise others to stand up for their rights, and describe how they have organised events, activities or others in pursuit of social justice goals.
