Responsibilities include:

Assisting in the preparation, placing and follow-up of media stories.

Writing media releases with lawyers and clients. Handling incoming media enquiries.

Caring for the stories and lives of our clients within a media advisory capacity.

Working with good political nous and judgement.

Delivering other media projects as directed.

Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

Ability to negotiate and communicate effectively.

Ability to write media releases and media strategies for campaigns.

Juggling multiple workloads & demands.

Awareness of various media outlets in Victoria and nationally.

Tertiary educated; graduate in journalism or communications & media.

Minimum five years work experience in journalism /media and/or communications and/or in a government media office.
