| Job Description: |
Industrial Officers work in a team under the supervision of a Senior Industrial Officer to:
• provide industrial advice and representation to members
• resolve members' workplace issues
• advocate for members before boards and industrial tribunals
• assist members with enterprise bargaining
• undertake industrial research
|
| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
• Passion for the union movement.
• Experience in one of the following: union, community, social justice, student or other activist campaigns, volunteer work or a relevant social sciences, industrial relations, law or related degree.
• A basic working knowledge of the Australian Industrial relations system
• Drivers licence now or soon
• Ability to work unpredictable hours
• Community languages a plus.

| Salary: |
Starting salary of $58.5K per annum including Motor Vehicle Allowance of $12.8K per annum for the use of your own vehicle. Higher salaries apply to experienced Industrial Officers, who are encouraged to also apply. Benefits include generous superannuation, income protection and 6 weeks annual leave.
